Prayer rugs are
among the most popular formats of rugs, used for ritualistic prayers. These are typically
2-4 ft wide and 4-8 ft. long. They are often adorned with special religious motifs and
prayers written in local scripts. There are many varieties of prayer rugs available: sejadah,
namazlyk, and joi namaz. Certain types of prayer rugs
are meant to accommodate more than one person, called saph.
